Welcome to October! As we dive into the harvest season, we are going to take this as an opportunity to learn about Stewardship (taking care of everything because it belongs to God). Questions you can ask at home: What is Stewardship? Why should we have stewardship?
Our Memory Verse is Luke 10:16 "Whosoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much." (NIV)
Yes! We are meeting this Sunday from 6-7:30 pm
THURSDAY (Sept 28th) we are going to the Curtis Farm to help pick apples as a service to Mrs. Curtis! Meet in the church parking lot at 6 pm and pick up at 7:30 pm.
Parents, THANK YOU for letting your child be apart of this year's service experiences! There are much more to come in the year but I am thrilled already at how much your 4/5th graders are learning and embracing acts of service! Don't be afraid pick up the talk of serving at home!
This week, I had the privilege of being present at one of the classrooms as they were passing out buddy bags to their participating students. As their names were called, each child jumped to their feet and rush over to receive their bag with excitement and glee! "Do we get food every Friday??" I heard a child ask. When told that he did he jumped up and down shouting "yes, yes, yes!"
Thanks for making a difference!
